The Leftins

Kathy (1970) and Bud (1971) Leftin's story began at Highlands, where they first met and became lifelong friends. On Friday nights during the fall, Kathy could be found cheering on Bud from the sidelines as a cheerleader. After Kathy graduated, their friendship blossomed into a romance, and the rest, as they say, is history! Together, Kathy and Bud raised three children—Brad, Katie, and Ben—who all attended Johnson Elementary and graduated from Highlands. They are also proud grandparents to four granddaughters, three of whom are current students in the FTIS. This year marks a truly special milestone for Kathy and Bud, as they celebrate 55 years of love and partnership. We wish them continued happiness, love, and prosperity in the years to come!
