FTEF Teacher Grant Request for Proposals

The 2023-2024 Teacher Grant Application window will open in November. Staff will be notified when we open the application period.

The FTEF is proud to have awarded over $1,000,000 in Teacher Grants since 2001. We look forward to continuing to support more innovative and cutting-edge programs and materials in support of our mission of enhancing educational excellence.

The purpose of the FTEF Teacher Grant Program is to fund classroom materials and programs to enhance the educational excellence of staff and students in all five schools. During the review and approval of grants, the committee will consider if the request:

  • Directly affects education

  • Enhances current curriculum/ tools

  • Promotes ‘big ideas’ and out of the box thinking

  • Is self-contained (does not extend beyond one fiscal year for financial support)*

  • Serves as a pilot program for potential district adoption and implementation*

  • Equitable distribution of funds to all 5 schools (dependent on grants submitted)

*exceptions may apply

Prior to submitting an FTEF Teacher Grant Application you may want to consider:

  1. Is your principal aware and ‘on board’ with your requests (please review all grant requests with your building principal prior to submitting)

  2. Has funding been requested/ received from other sources (will be asked to provide this information during the application process)?

  3. Does the requested item align with department, building, and district strategic goals?

  4. If applicable, is the technology request compatible with existing systems?

You will be asked to submit an itemized invoice, with vendor information.

Regardless of funding decision, anyone submitting a grant request will receive communication from the FTEF. All correspondence will be distributed on or after the FTEF Grant Patrol (Spring) and will include copies to building principal, superintendent and other parties as necessary based on the funding mechanisms and purchase process.
