Ann (1974) and Jon (1974) Engelhard’s love story began in the fall semester of their senior year at Highlands, and the rest, as they say, is history! Their connection runs deep, as Jon’s father, Ted Engelhard, was a beloved teacher and tennis coach at Highlands for 27 years. On Friday, May 13th, 1977, Ann and Jon married and established their family in Central Kentucky, where they stayed for three years. In 1980, the Engelhards returned to Fort Thomas, where they raised two children, Suzann and Jason, both proud Highlands graduates. Today, Jon stays connected to his Highlands roots as an occasional substitute teacher at the school and a part-time radio personality on WDJO. Ann, meanwhile, is approaching retirement after a successful career in computer software administration. The Engelhards are an example of true HHS LoveBirds, and the Highlands High School Alumni Association wishes them continued joy and happiness for many years to come!Â
