Christy (Horn) Reed and David Reed, both class of 1991, have been together now for 35 years. They met in their freshman year of high school, but have different accounts of how and when they officially met. David believes he saw Christy at an away Covington Catholic football game and was introduced through mutual friends. However, Christy remembers seeing him in a crowded Highlands hallway and telling her friends, smitten, “I’m going to marry that guy.” Regardless of which story is correct, the 2 immediately connected over their love for music and the arts.
As they became good friends, David formally asked Christy out on a date to attend the school play “Arsenic and Old Lace”. They have been together ever since.
After high school, David attended the Art Academy, and Christy attended both the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University. Once graduated, they got married in 1999 at Music Hall and then welcomed their first child shortly after. Together, they raised 2 sons in Fort Thomas and have excelled in their own career paths. Christy is a researcher for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and David is a National Account Specialist for a logistics company. They continue to thrive in the community, enjoying biking and hiking with their sons and dog, Winston. We wish the happy couple endless success and joy!
