The Laycocks

Chelsea (2008) and Jordan (2008) Laycock believe their relationship can be summarized by this quote, “In a world where everything was changing—friendships, dreams, even themselves—the one thing that remained constant was each other” The two’s relationship started after Young Life when Jordan and Chelsea were catching up on the upcoming Homecoming dance when it was revealed that neither of them had a date. Naturally, they decided to go together —an easy decision that began their relationship.

After graduation in 2008, Chelsea and Jordan started a new chapter at the University of Kentucky where they navigated the ups and downs of college and young adulthood together. In 2014, the Laycock’s were officially married. In 2015, they earned a new title, “Mom and Dad,” with the birth of their first son, Emmet. 2 years later, they welcomed another son, Hayes.

As the Laycock11-year anniversary approaches in July, the HHS Alumni Association wishes continued love, prosperity, and happiness for the Laycock family!

This is the sweetest couple- next to Jordan’s parents (Cecily McGinnis and Tom Laycock) who also got married after being Highlands High School sweethearts. Love my Godson and his beautiful bride and kiddos! 💕💕
