Outstanding Support Staff of the Year

FTIS and the FTEF invite you to nominate an extraordinary support staff employee for our annual Outstanding Support Staff of the Year award.

Who is eligible for nomination: cafeteria workers, central office staff, custodial and maintenance staff, digital learning coaches, instructional assistants, health assistants, school nurses, school secretaries, instructional assistants, technology staff and transportation staff.

Who can nominate: Administrators, teachers, other support professionals, students and community members can nominate (members of the NESTIES: Best of the Nest committee are unable to nominate).

Nomination criteria:

This award honors a supporting services employee who has made an outstanding contribution to FTIS schools, students and community. Nominees should extend themselves beyond basic required duties and contribute to students and the school community by enhancing student learning, creating positive relationships, and making school or the office a better place. 

Nomination Process:

Please email your nomination to ftef@ftef.org and provide details regarding WHY your nominee deserves to with the Outstanding Support Staff of the YEAR award. DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2026.

The FTIS Supporting Staff Award winner(s) will be selected by the NESTIES: The Best of the Nest committee based on the above criteria. Winner(s) will be and announced during the in Spring and will be honored at the annual NESTIES: The Best of the Nest event. 2022 nominees not chosen for the award remain on the list of eligible candidates; however, updated nomination information is encouraged.
